Contentment
recognizing the illusion of greener pastures
the state, quality or fact of being contented; a satisfying or being satisfied
If we love what we have, we have what we love. To be content literally means ‘all that is contained.’ Figuratively it means ‘happy enough with what one has or is; not desiring more or different.’ It points to the fact that until we accept this very moment the way it is, we cannot find peace. We are already it. There is nowhere to go and nothing to achieve.
Inquiry
Am I desiring to be somewhere other than here and now?
Intention
I am in gratitude for my life and I am content with what is. Contentment gives me peace at the minimum; potentially it liberates and en-lightens me.
