When we spend time caring for our soul, we are resisting the demands of the work-oriented element in our psyche that measures life only in terms of output, not in terms of the quality of our life experiences. To truly flow with our own personal evolution, we need to go against the all-pervasive, prove-yourself values of our culture and instead treasure what is unique in ourselves.
