Liberation
being detached
a liberating or being liberated; a setting free, a releasing; the securing of equal social and economic rights
Letting go of expectation, demand and the need to control is a pre-requisite for liberation. Detachment means allowing, accepting and loving ourselves and ‘what is.’ Meditation practice helps us see how the ego-mind is continuously inventing new problems to ‘solve.’ By observing the ego, consisting of thoughts related to the past, the future and other stories, we become detached. ‘Present moment thinking’ is always new and relates to who we really are. This moment is truly a present and wants to be celebrated, appreciated, enjoyed and savored.
