Practice, persevering

Practice

persevering

to do or engage in frequently; to do repeatedly in order to learn or become proficient; to put into practice; to observe or adhere to

Enlightened masters point out that there is nothing to do and no goal to reach, that we already are ‘it’ and a mere shift of perception allows us to realize our divine nature. However, most have spent many years practicing one discipline or another. The practice of a ‘discipline’ teaches us humility and patience, increases our will power and is a structure in which we can know our true self.

Inquiry

How consistent am I with my practice?

Intention

Humble and surrendered I return my focus to my breathing, learning not to judge the thoughts arising. Practice makes the master.
